Employee Receives Community Service Award

Our power supplier, WPPI Energy, recognized Eric Murphy from Kaukauna Utilities for his community service efforts with the Volunteer Power! Award. WPPI Energy presented Murphy with the Volunteer Power! Award at its annual meeting on September 17 in Green Lake.

Murphy’s deep commitment to public service is evident though his involvement with the Kaukauna Waterboard Warriors. A water ski organization open to all age groups interested in water skiing, the Kaukauna Waterboard Warriors emphasize teamwork, family values and safety.

Murphy serves as vice president for the organization. In this leadership role, he is responsible for fundraising efforts, coordinating event logistics and practice details. Murphy also manages equipment and sponsors free shows and clinics for the community.

“We are proud to recognize Eric for his commitment and efforts to serve his community,” said Roy Thilly, WPPI Energy president and chief executive officer. “Eric is dedicated to helping others and has a deep commitment to public service.”

Murphy serves as a lead electrical technician for Kaukauna Utilities. His efforts continue to inspire others to work hard and volunteer their time to their local community.
